*Try not to change your child's after-school transportation arrangements unless it is absolutely necessary. For example, if your child is a bus rider... then don't change it. If someone else needs to pick up your bus rider, have them go to the bus stop. Trust me... you want to try to avoid picking your child up at East if possible. You MUST call the office with changes.

  1. Students may bring birthday treats to school. Please make sure they are store bought and individually wrapped. Thank you.
  2. Make sure your child can tie his/her own shoes... or try to have shoes that don't need tied.
  3. I will not be checking backpacks, so please remind your child if he/she has something to turn in (lunch money, notes).
  4. Check your child's folder each day. There will be homework each day.
  5. The homework calendar should be kept in the front of your child's homework folder. Please keep it there. I will remove it when it is time to get a new one.
  6. Students should read a book each day. They will choose books from the classroom library.

*If your child comes home with a book that is too hard, you can do 2 things:
a. read it with your child
b. read it TO your child
