My name is Mrs. Hyman and first graders are my business! First graders often come to school brimming over with enthusiasm and excitement for learning, life, friends, and interests. Theirs is an age commonly marked by tremendous growth, lost teeth and great emotional highs. First graders make big plans, jump into projects with both feet, work at a breakneck pace, and don’t want to miss a thing. Their enthusiasm for school and life can be infectious, and teaching them is an exciting and joyful experience. This is why I love first graders!!!
I went to Bethalto East as a child, did my student teaching at Bethalto East and now have been a teacher here for over 30 years. There's no place I'd rather be. I enjoy teaching the children of former students.
I earned a bachelor's degree from SIUE and a master's degree from McKendree University. I have 2 grown children. I enjoy reading, hiking, vacationing, genealogy, geocaching and spending time with my family.
